INTERVIEW WITH MR. TEE.

The sociable person, Mr. Tee Song Yann
Well my name is Tee Song Yann. I have a Bachelor in IT. I’m right now working as a lecturer in Limkokwing University.
Why do you choose the field of education by being a lecturer?
Because I like teaching. I mean like, teaching always been my passion.

Regarding to your own experience, what is your philosophy in teaching?

Actually I don’t have any philosophy in teaching. But I just say that teachers and student are equal. Teaching is a way where I can deliver my knowledge. I’m not a person who will keep the knowledge myself. So by teaching I can educated others and I’m very glad to do so.

What do the term ‘leadership’ means to you?

Leadership to me, somebody once said that a leader is someone who inspires. So for me someone who has a great leadership should be able to inspire people.

Do you think leadership is a desire or science? Why?

To me leadership is a science. Because I believe that every think which is precious such as innovation and creativity we have to lay it down in a very systematic way and same goes to the leadership. Leadership is something can be generated. We can generate a leader.

Printing a smile on students needs, needs skills and wisdom. Could you tell us about it?

To me it is very easy. A lecturer should understand the student’s need. Every student are special. So their needs are also special. A educator have to analyst. So by fulfilling their needs I’m sure that the student will enjoy it.

Do you agree in the statement “Moderation is the scene of happiness”?

Yes I agree with it. Because for me according to Chinese human must not be too happy and at the same time they must not be too sad. We should be neutral in every think. So that we can maintain our calmness.

What is your philosophy in the concept of humanity?

For me respect is the key word for humanity. We should treat everybody equally. Respect each other. This can bring peace to our society.

Thank you again sir for your time. It was very nice of you sharing your ideas with us.

You’re welcome. Thank you.

A Talk With Redzuan Hakim bin Mohd Ramli

The dedication lecturer, Mr. Redzuan

Hello Mr. Redzuan, thank you for giving your valuable time with us. We are very happy to have you here.

Thanks to you too for choosing me. I am also very happy to be here.

Tell me about your life before joining the industry of education?

After I graduated, a number of companies offered job opportunities. I was working info tech quest. Later I realized they earn a lot of money but they don’t pay me enough. After that I worked for my friend’s company. later I was  offered  an opportunity to be  as a tutor. Finally I become a lecturer.

Is there is any comparison between the value of teaching back in the days and at the current time, if yes please elaborate?

Back in the days, when I was a student doing my degree it’s was kind of shock position or you can say hard time. I was dependent to a limit of holding responsibility on my young shoulders. The lecturer won’t care? We use to work hard to reach the peak. But after that I realize it was well trained. Now we are so perfect because of the lecturer. But nowadays it’s just nothing. People will complain about the lecturer. LUCT is not bad. But it can be better.

What is the most important thing that a student should have when he enters your class?

Confidence is much  more important to me. If your  confident ,no matter its good or bad you will have improvement Day by day.  Your work can be the perfect one but if you are not confident you will die. Open minded. Give chance always to yourself.  My advice is being confident whatever you are doing. You will win.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years time?

In 10 years time I may get married.  Actually I don’t really plan so far. Anything can happen that time. But I am sure will do masters. If am interested will do my PHD. But I will become more awesome how I am now.

As a lecturer what do you feel seeing your students who are friendly towards you?

I don’t want to be so friendly but not so strict also. You should always have respect to your lecturer who is older than you. So you should respect should maintain the distance. We can be friend. We can eat together, go out together but you are not my friend remember that.

What is your perception about the students in the sense of implementing their creativity?

Students are working hard to reach the stage of creativity as well as working hard.   I prefer hard work. Because hard work afford will show. You can be more creative than me but this is not your time. As your age your creativity is very limited. But hard working will work for you in the future.

How did you find this university? Do you like this place?

Yeah I do. LUCT is very interesting place ,and seriously am enjoying here. I like my colleges. They are such a nice person.

Thank you sir. It was nice ,sharing thoughts, although your humble answers were informative indeed

Good Luck
